At the Supreme Court, Johu Smith, charged with attempting to pick a woman's pocket at the Exhibition, was acquitted after a four hours' deliberation, by the jury.
Dibb Ido was convicted of obtaining a bicycle by false pretences aud afterwards selliug it. Sentence was deferred, pending a decision on a point of law as to whether the Chattels Transfer Act applied to the case.
