Illness of Taipari.

Auckland, March 13
The well-known native chief Taipari, who returned from Whakatane yesterday by the s.s. Chelnisford, is seriously ill. He is at present stopping at the Britomarte hotel here, but will probably be ta^en to the Thames tomorrow.
