IN pursuance of " The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act, 1895," "The Electoral Act, 1893," and Amendments thereof, I, THOMAS WILLIAM CLARK, Eeturn. ing Officer for the Licensing District of Thames, do hereby give Notice that an ELECTION will be held for the EETUKN of FIVE Duly Qualified Persons to serve a* Members of the Licensing Committee lot the Thames Licensing District, and that the latest day for receiving NOMINATIONS of CANDIDATES will be th« 24th day of March, 1897, and that the POLL, if necessary, will be taken at the several Polling places of the said district on the 31st day of March, 1897, between the hours of 9 o'clock in the forenoon and 7 o'clock in the afternoon. Every man desirous of becoming a Candidate must be Nominated by not less than two electors of the district by a nomina« tion paper as prescribed by section 75 of " The Electoral Act, 1893," and section 15 of "The Electoral Act Amendment Act, 1896," delivered to the Returning Officer not later than 5 o'clock in the afternoon of the 24th day of March, 1897.
