i EUROPEAN. The new reef No 6 drive, which is [now in a distance of 43 ft-28ft of which has been heavily timbered on account of the nature of the slide. In the face of the dr jye a narrow pug of soft pike clay has intersected a portion of the reef. I expect a change iv a few days. McISAAC'S. i The niauagor.reports:—" The class of country in course of penetration in the low level is still of a favorable character. We passed through a nice looking two-inch leader on the footwall reef. Yovsa Australia Tvssel : 225 feet has now been re-timbered and put in thorough repair. At this distance the timber was very much decayed. The reef here is fully a foot wide, and the ore looks very promis- ' ing.—S. Louonnx."
