WELLINGTON, March 8 Arrived: Gothic, from London.
CHRISTCHURCH.—March 8
It is rumored that A. B. Worthington has been urged to return to Christchurch to take charge of the congregation at a guaranteed salary of £2.50 per annum.
NEW PLYMOUTH.—March 6. The Cycling Club held a Church parade on Sunday, but the weather spoilt it, only thirty-three cyclists attending. The Key. A. G. Evans (Anglican) gave an appropriate address.
The Venerable Archdeacon Govett, who has had charge of St. Mary's parish for fifty years, preached his farewell sermon last night, prior to leaving for England. He expects to be away nine months.
DUNEDIN.—March 8
A private cable reports the death at Melbourne of Phil Greenwood, for eight years private secretary to Messrs Williamson and Musgrove. Deceased went home with the Australian eleven as representative of several leading Australian papers.
