Sunday School Union.

The annual meeting of the Thames | Sunday School Union was held in the Mary-street Church last evening. Both were heartily " thanked for attendiog and reporting.— It was resolved that in future the expense of the refreshments s.t social meet* ings be defrayed by collection.—The ogutil arrangements for the annual f«stiral were put in order, after which the President reported on the work of the year, and the business manager, Mr Benabaw, read a statement showing the l bamber and value of the magazines, bound volumes, etc., supplied during the -year to schoo's.—The election of officers resulted as fo lows: - President, Mr W. H. Newton (third term); Vice-Pres'^ dents, Rev. F. W. Boys and Mr R. Scott; Secretary, Mr C BJ. Swales; Treasurer and business manager, Mr Jas, Renshaw (re-elected); visitor to school, Mr H. N. Baguall; auditors, Messrs T. SommerviUejknd 0, Whitehead. —A special vote of thanks was accorded to the N.$.S. Co. for free conveyance of parcels from Auckland, and to Mr F. Power for carting the same from the steamer.—Before the meeting dispersed those present enjoyed the hos--piraiity of the I'aptiat teachers who had provided a light'repast.
