ROYAL OAK (Tapu).

A meeting of the shareholders .in the Royal Oak mine, Tapu, was held in Auckland on Friday Mr E. McDonnell presiding, The new company is to comprise the Wahari, Longstone, Royal, and Rose with a capital of £100,000. The Royal shareholders.will receive 6000 shares paid up to £1. £20,000 is to be spent on the mine. The directors were empowered to dispose of the pi'operty, KAPANGA. All the friends of that popular mine manager (Capt. Argall) will be pleased to hear of the good return he lias got from the old Kapanga mine last month. The month's yield is 4730zs of retorted gold, of a value of £1372, from 50 tons of ore treated at the company's | battery. The bulk of this ore was obtained j from the 300 ft level on Scotty's reef.
