The following applications, wlr eh wera adjourned from yesterday, were to-day dealt with, by Air Warden H. Eyre Kenny :— C. McLiver, Day Dawn licensed holding, 5 acres 2 roo^s 22 perches, atTairua. An objection to this application had been lodged by Jas. Onyon, but an amicable settlement having been arrived at the objection was withdrawn. The Warden, however, said he would not grant the license just yet, because all the J'airua surveys were in an unsatisfactory state, and needed careful inquiry into. Besides he had issued an instruction when he first came to this field that in all applications for holdings, &c, at Tairua a copy of same should be forwarded to the Kauri limber C©., whose lease took up a great portion of the district. He would, therefore, adjourn the application to July 11th. H. L. Smith, permission to work the Caledonian lictnseel holding, Waionto, with 2 men instead of 10 for a period of three months —Gronted.
