Wellington, June 6. L Masterton man named Andrew lerville deliberately shot at and ed another named Arthur Herbert Jueen street this afternoon, iomerville had been working fcr rbert, and a dispute regarding a m for £19 for wages occupied the [. Court this morning, the case jg adjourned for a fortnight.

Constables Collerton and Nestor, o were within fifty yards of the ne, rushed at the murderer and ured him. The former took, away
i revolver, which on examination ijyed to have three remaining unbers loaded. Somerville made no istance, and remarked he would go ietly.
Both men are single. Herbert is an I settler. The other has been working several contracts in the district, and generally looked upon as a quiet man. The affair has caused a great sensanhere. !
