Auckland, This day. News to-day from West Australia reports an extensive rush to the new locality 90 miles north-west of Coolgardie, where rich alluvial and quartz reefs have been discovered.

At the Kilmore (Victoria) old diggings a diamond drill, under the Government supervision, has discovered at a depth of 87ft a rich alluvial lead worth Bdwts to the load.
The discovery is reported of a rich reef in Welcome Gully, 7 miles from Daylesford. The reef is two feet wide.
The Phoenix Company, at Gympie, has crushed one ton of stone for about 6500zs gold.
A cockatoo has cm his selection 20 miles from Olaremont made the important discovery of a large auriferous deposit very similar in character to Mount Morgan. Trial crushings to a depth of 40ft give from 3 to 10033 of gold per ton.
