Death of an Old Colonist.
(PRBSB ASSOCIATION.] Nsw Plymouth, This day. Mr Thos. King, Chairman of the Harbor Board; died at 4 o'clock this uaornirg, aged 73 years. He was one of the first settlers; arriving here in the William Bryant in 1841. He was elected a member of the House of Representatives in 1854 and 1860, and held the position of Treasurer in the Provincial Council. He was also manager of the Bank of New Zealand here for 16 years, and since his retirement has taken an active part in matters connected with the harbor. He leaves a widow, three sons, and a daughter Dr. Truby King, of Sea'cliffe Lunatic Asylum, Newton King (auctioneer) here; Henry King; and Mrs Merchant, of Twaru. The deceased had been. very infirm for some time.
