WELLINGTON.—Saturday. The annual valuation of the city only showed an increase of £4092; this is ascribed partly to the exemption of unendowed schools, and partly to the decision of the Appeal Court releasing certain Harbor Board properties from liability to Municipal rating. This day. Drowned in a Bucket of WaterAt Pahiatua John Summerfield, a sawmill hand, was foand drowned in a bucket of water this morning. He had been drinking heavily for a few days, and had evidently gone to the bucket for a drink.
