Mrs Strong—'The great thing is—what you are!' Her pretty niece—• Wrorigv auntie; the great thing is, what you wear.' •Well,' said Mr Caudle, ' since you've got that new bonnet there's no living with you. A new bonnet always does go to a woman's head, somehow or other.'
Mother (to son)—' To-day is your birthday, Fred; you are 30. Just fancy/ 'Why I'm nearly as old as you mother.*
