We would remind those interested that a meeting of contributors to the -Thames Hospital will be heldto-night in the Academy of Music for the purpose of electing two Trustees. The only candidates nominated yesterday afternoon were Messrs G. S. Clark and M. Mulligan, who will accordingly he declared to be elected unopposed at the meeting this •vening.
The Hon.'Mr Cadman left here for Coromandel this afternoon, and returns to Auckland on Saturday.
Considerable delay having occurred in the matter of the distribution of certificates in connection with the examinations under the Mining Act for mine managers' certificates, the Committee of the Thames School of Mines brought the matter under the notice of the Hon. Mr Cadman, .who telegraphed to Wellington and last night received the following reply from Mr T. Hamer, Secretary to the Board of Examiners under the Mining Acts: "Mr Seddon out of reach of telegraph ; re mine managers' certificates, G. Truscott and B. Adams passed, and the certificates will be forwarded to-morrow. The former Board meeting lapsed, a quorum not being present."
A call of twopence per share was made to-day on the capital of the Magnolia G.M.Co.
The Auckland Regatta Committee have increasedthe prizes for the Champion Whaleboat race to £40, £10, and £5.
