GREAT INTEREST IN THE RESULT. (Peb Pbesb Association.) Wellington, This day.
As Eriday draws near the interest in tbe election thickens, and tbe contest promises to be as keen as any eTer seeu here. Mr McLean held the laat of his meetings at the Opera House last night, the Premier and the Hod. Mr Beeves speaking as well as himself. Ho addresßes a mass meeting at the reclaimed land to morrow night, for which great preparations are being nnde. Mr Bell addresses two meetings to night. Gigantic committee meetings of both candidates are being held pretty well every evening to clear the decks and get everythiog io fighting trim. Both sides profess the utmost confidence.
