The new room <»ill be ■ capacious one, 120 ft in length by 76ft in breadth, and should be ample for the purposes or the 30 head mill, which it is intended to start with The stampers are not to be in the new building, bat have already been set up in tho spare portion of the present ci'l, and are quite ready to begin operating as soon as the other parts are eoropletfd. The superintendence has at last been definitely placed in the able bands of Mr K. M. Oorbelt, and probably early in tbe TSew Tear the wet erushtog Eroeess, on the lines formulated at Waiteauri, will be in full swiag at tbe Waibi mill. . Tbe renovation of tbe old Martha battery, now the property of the Silverton G M.Co., is also making good pro* cress under Mr Ccrbeti'a control. The construction of a (mm, the repairs to the water raw, the re-fittiog of 15 hfad of stampers, and other works preliminary to a atart at crushing, are all in a forward •bape, and, all beiDg well, this property will be among tbe acti?e gold producers by tbe end cf the present year.
