GENEEAL BOOTH'S SCHEME.
General Booth says the Australian colonies bare formed an erroneous idea as to the scope and detail of his scheme. He intends to send pat qualified mechanics, and not necessarily unskilled laborers. He proposes to visit Australia himself in September to work up support for his proposals. He states he feels certain he will be able to destroy the prejudices formed against them, and that he entertains more respect both for his own repu-i tation and for colonists than to foist tbe riffraff of England on them. •
