CHRI9TCHTJE6H, This day. The fifteenth annual meeting of the New Zealand Shipping Co. was held today, Mr A. J. C. Wilson being in the Chair. The directors' report stated that the profit and loss account shews a credit balance of £51,276 3s 7d, including £7019 brought forward. They recommend writ* ing £50,715 off the property, including £30,000 off steamers, £9,666 off sailing fleet, and carrying £550 forward. Since the last general meeting, the London manager and the representative of the London auditors had visited the colony and investigated the Company's accounts. Exoeption had been taken to four items charged to the first cost of steamers, and the directors therefore proposed writing off £30,000 this year and £4521 next year. The report was adopted unanimously. Messrs Bowen, Murray, Aynsley, and Biehardaon were re-elected directors. A shareholder sained Green gave notice of motion for reducing the directors in ths colony to 5.
