Adelaide, Yesterday,
The 'ship Star' of Greece, Captain Harrower, bound for Great Britain with a cargo of wheat and two passengers, has gone ashore near Willunga, thirty miles south of this city. The ; weather is very rough, and the ship has broken in two. Four of the .crew of the ship have been drowned, and only one so far has sue* ceeded in reaching the shore.- ' There are still twenty souls aboard the ill-fated vessel in'great peril, for it is momentarily expected that the ship will go to pieces.

The after part of the ship Star of Greece disappeared early this, morning, and many of tbe "crew, including the cap* tain, we're drowned, several being crushed to; death by the wreckage. Sis men 'jumped, overboard together, but their efforts to reach tbe shore were unsuccessful, , and all perished. The beach is strewn with wreckage, and many of the bodies bava been seen washing about. , The" total number of persons on board was twenty-seven (including two pas* sengers), and of these the first and third officers, four men, and four apprentices only, hare been saved.. All the others \ were ' drowned. The Chief Oth'cer.expresses the opinion Ibat probably all would have been saved had they stock to the remnant of'the" vessel.' ' The South British Iniurance Company hare a line of '£2000 on tbe vessel, which was loaded with wheat.
The names of the drowned are unknown at present. ; ~ " > <
