A parcel of 5 tons of ore h«» been •rvtbed at tbe Ivanhoe battery for the excellent retura ot llozs retorted gold' The quartz was first subjected to tbe routing process, and tbe result is looked upon as tery satisfactory, it being considered by the shareholders that by treating the oro in a rererbatory furnace, ■ mach higher percentage of metal will be saved. XENILWOETH (KAEANGAHAZE.) The crushing of. the trial lot of about 10 tons of ore. which is proceeding at the Ivanhoe battery from this mine is shaping for an average return of at least 2ozi to the ton. - - -
