Daring Robbery.

Wellington, This day. A daring jewel robbery was perpetrated some time last night or early this morning at Jenness' jeweller's shop, in Willis street; the robbery was effected by an entrance at the back of the building, by taking out the panel of the door. \ The burglars carried a locally manufactured lantern, which had been arranged so as to be darkened. They took 26 gold watches, 40 silver watches, 20 solid gold alberts, 15 English alberts, 20 ladies' gold alberts, 4G to 45 gold necklets, 24 silver necklets, 12 ladies' silver alberts, 6doz silver rings, gold brooches, 4 pairs diamond earrings, 40 gold brooches and earrings (including 5 diamond sets, valued at from £3 to £35), and 12 gold and diamond scarf pins. The total loss is estimated at between £1500 and £2000.
