QUEEN OF BEAUTY.
No more specimens have been obtained from the bottom level since Friday, the men being principally engaged in timber* ing up the drive preparatory to starting stoping. Cleaning up took place at the battery today, and the yield will probably be banked to-morrow. NEW PRINCE IMPERIAL. The reef seaward of the shaft was broken down yesterday. Good colors and dabs of gold were seen, and a few picked stone obtained. The drive is now in about 18ft from the shaft, and the leaders in the face continue to show gold. - GOLD RETURNS. Caledonian.— Mclnnes and party have crushed 11 loads at the Herald mill for the return of 14ozs retorted gold. Moanataibi.—McGarvey and party have crushed 9 loads for the yield of 6ozs 13dwts melted gold.—F. While and party have crushed 1 load for the rich yield of 26ozs 14dwts gold.—The return from G. White's tribute, published yesterday, was incorrect; it should have been 55ozs 6dwts melted gold.
