If may perhaps be interesting to knew (says the Wanganui Herald), that Mr Quintal, solicitor, Tauranga, is a native of Pitcairn Island, and a great grandson of Quintal, who, with Adams (the ringleader), Christian, and other mutineers of the ill-fated Bounty—immoralised by Byron in his " Shipwreck"—took up their quarters on that beautiful Island, and intermarrying with the native women of.a neighbouring group, have, in little more than a century, caused to spring up a fine, handsome, intelligent race of beings, remarkable for the singular purity of their lives. .
