At a meeting of the creditors of Win. Kirby, the liabilities were stated at £400; assets, nominal, £300. Kirby was dealrous of taking it out of the best man amongst his creditors, but the police being sent for and appearing on thejeene, ha subsided. ,
The dedication of the Newton Lodge, 1.0. F., American Constitution, took place to-night at the Masonic Hal), Newton, by District Grand Master Hughes in the presence of a large attendance of ladies and gentlemen.
The Carandini Company closed their season in the Lome street Hall, and the prizes of the Amateur Athletic Club were presented to the victors by Mrs Maedonald, wife of the District Judge, during the interval. -'
