CALEDONIAN SHAFT.
The manager measured the water in the shaft yesterday afternoon, and found that it had risen 182 feet in the U.P.A. shaft, being still about 50 feet below No. 4 level. The gas is low, and /the Old Golden Calf workmen are working undisturbed.
