The manager has now on hand scwt of good picked Btone, and the crushing at the battery is showing up well. The sped-' mens were to be crushed to-day, and as all through the month the general stuff has shaped well, a good return is expected. At the mine there is no change to report in connection with the 70 feet, lerel. The country in west drive continues rather hard, though indications of a change for the better are risible. In the Whau level the No \ or new winze is down about 27 feet, but there is no change to mention in connection with the reef. The stopes in Dixon's are showing gold. In the winze the lode averages two feet thick. The winze is down 25 feet. f
