Melbottbne, February 25.
The cricket match between Lord Harris' team and Eleven of Victoria, was won by the latter to-day by two
wickets.
Sydkey, Tuesday. A public holiday was observed to-day in consequence of the ceremony of unveiling the statue to Captain Cook in Hyde Park. The Governor performed the ceremony in presence of the Ministers, the military and naral forces, and various public bodies. Upwards of twenty thousand spectators were present.
