The Railway Reclamation Contract.
This morning Messrs Souter and Co., the successful tenderers for the Bailway Reclamation Contract, made a start, some thirty men being employed making the preliminary arrangements. We are informed that when the works are fairly started over seventy men will be employed, and, we should think, these can be easily obtained from the number waiting about Mr Souter's office this morning. The contractors intend deriving the stuff for the present from the Waiotahi tip and Kuranui Hill.
