The tenders for the Ohinemuri Bridge and other contracts were opened at the County Council Chambers at noon to-day, in the presence of about 50 or 60 ten* derers. Ohinemuri Bridge contract: H. H. Adams, £948 (accepted, subject to land being obtained on western bank of river for road); Thompson and Sinclair, 19a 6d ; Calder and Logan, £1068 16s Id ; Cullen and Young, £1214 Is ; J. J. O'Brien, £957 13s 4d; Carnie, £1165 9s 9d; Butler (informal), £1091 11s 3d; Boyer and Co., £1022 2s lid; Primrose, £1165 15s; Montgomery (informal), £1050; Farrell Bros., £1298. Contract for three small bridges on Ohinemuri and Waitawheta Road: Doherty, £2 5s each (accepted); Healy and Co., £9 \ C. A. Comes, £21; B. Noble, £4 17s 6d eaoh; Fleetwood, £17 10s; J. Me Williams, £3 10s each. Contract for fascining on Puke Road at per chain: W. Logan, £1 10s (accepted); Doherty, £1 14s; Snodgrass, £2 15s; & Comes, £4. Contract for cutting two drains on PukePaeroa Road (one large and one small one) at per chain: J. Shaw, 10s 6d and 13s ; Brown, 18s 9d and £2 7s 6d ; Quinn, 12s and 17s lid; Comes, 10s and 20s; A. Johnston, 10s and 15s; Logan," 13s and 16s. Contract for filling in Kati Eati road by the cubic yard and making bridge (lump sum): W. Logan, Is 6d per yard, and £8 (accepted); McGuire, Is lid per yard, and £5; Goonan, Is lid per yard,and £4; Bain, Is B|d per yard, and £5; Tattersall, 2s lOd yard, and £3; Me Cloughry, 2s 2d per yard, and £4 10s. A tender for broken metal was receired from R. Bryson at 9s per yard, and also one from W. Marsh tor gravel at 6s per yard; neither of these have yet been accepted. We learn that the County- will shortly call for tenders for the supply of 2000 tons of 20-inch cast iron pipes for conducting the County Supply from the proposed Waiotahi reservoir to the flat. Tenders will also be out on Monday for the following works:—63 chains of fencing, Katikati Road, metalling Rewai's Hill, and fencing in the WaioEaraka reservoir.
