BLENHEIM.

Wednesday.

For the Marlborough races there was fine weather and a good attendance, but not so large as on some previous occasions. Amongst the visitors from Wellington, "talent" was well represented. Hurdle ftace: Four started. Mclvor's Loch Lomond (owner), 1; Cochrane's Bluebell (owner), 2; Defere's Kikiki, 3. Dallow's Kiwi and Grey Momus were scratched. Bluebell led at the start, closely followed by Kikiki, who took the second place. Bluebell kept ahead until the eighth fence, when Loch Lomond drew up and passed, and kept the lead all the way. Kiwi stumbled at the first fence and refused the second, and was afterwards out of the race. There was a capital run between the rest. All took the fences in good style. Time: 4mins 17secs. Little or no betting.
