The weather throughout the (Jrey Valley was unprecedented for severity qfa Saturday night. !A. number of men were employed clearing Newton Road from slips and fallen trees. The promptitude of the County Chairman is commended, yesterday the wind waa so great that a. child of Mrs Estich, of J^elsqn, Creek, was lifted off i|s feet and carried into the stream, The body was recovered thjs morning. It has been the most severe and protracted winter known to old West Coasters. ,
