At a meeting of the Regatta Committee a programme was arranged, the three principal races being the Interprovincial Champion Eace in four-oared racing whaleboats, first prize £75, second £25 ; Champion Yacht Bace, open to all comers, no centre bo_.'.*ds, first prize cup valued £25 and 50 sovereigns, second prize £25; Champion Sailing Eace for trad.'ng vessels under 150 tons register, open to all comers, no centre boards, first prize cup value £25 and. seventy -five sovereigns, Second prize, £25. ' TH Waimate from London has anchored inside the heads. A terriffie northwest gale is blowing, and the ship is not cleared yet. •
