Clifford's Mirror of the World.

After the very unsatisfactory day which many have experienced in their attempts to keep holiday, some will feel inclined to Gaish with a little amusement in the evening, and we would remind them that Clifford's Mirror of the World opens at tlie Academy of Music this evening. The part of the world to be shown embraces some of the principal points of interest in the modern Babylon, namely, London. Mr Clifford will take his audience to tho Docks and Railways, the monuments, St. Paul's ; thence to the Tower; that wonderful establishment, the Bank of England; Royal Exchange, Newgate, and the places rendered famous by history or associations. Mr Clifford will fhen show some views of a comical character, illustrating a moral story; also some of the most beautiful statuary in the world, and conclude with his dancing skeleton, which is described as one of the most wonderful optical illusions ever introduced to a colonial audience. Mr Clifford has had the advantage of the advice and assistance of some of tho most efficient of the staff of the Royal Polytechnic, London, in getting together his exhibition, and it will not, therefore, be surprising to any to hear that it is most complete. We trust that there will be a good house to welcome the first of what we cannot but regard as a series of real treats.
