Accident to the Hauraki.
The Hauraki steamer met with an accident to her machinery last night on the way between Coromandel and Auckland, which prevented her from continuing her voyage and was also the cause of the Enterprise's detention. At one o'clock this morning the Enterprise found the Hauraki safely at anchor at the Sandspit, and she at. once went, about and towed the disabled steamer to Auckland, leaving again for the Thames at a quarter to five o'clock this morning.; The non-arrival of the Enterprise at the: usual time this morning is thus accounted for ; she did not arrive till noon to-day, and the time of her departure has been altered to nine o'clock this evening. We have not been able to learn the nature of the accident to the Hauraki's machinery, nor whether she will be able to make her usual trip to the Thames to-morrow.
