THE SPARROW PEST.
(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)
Sik,—ln this morning's paper I see there is a suggestion that " the party who introduced the sparrows should be compelled to catch them all and destroy them. 1' Atf I for one heartily wish they had never been brought here, I cordially second the above proposition. Our worthy Registrar of B. D. and M. introduced them, and as he has lots of spare time on his hands, I trust he will forthwith begin employing some of his leisure in capturing and destroying these pests. He might save his butcher's bill for the next month. Sparrow pie is not to be sneezed at.—l am, &c,
One who has a Garden.
