LITTLE LIZZIE.
The shareholders Messrs. Prescott and Johmon have had their periodical crushing at the Coulabah battery Karaka Creek, contiguous to the mine, which for the past two years has been worked profitably by its present owners. The mode of working is comparatively inexpensive, the quality rather than the quantity being the desideratum, and the repeated find of specimens has hitherto been a chief feature in their operations. The present parcel consisted of 17 tons of quartz, intluding specimens ; from which 35 ounces 14 dwts', 6 grains melted gold has been obtained.
