This day. In the District Court 10-day, re Henry Lewis v. John Lundon, judgment summons for £.36 7s, defendant pleaded inability to pay. He stated that all his property was mortgaged. It was ultimately agreed to raise $ mortgage on his hotel to pay liabilities; [■*■'
In the Police Court Francis Dwyer, a servant girl, was brought up charged with stealing various articles of wearing apparel to the value of £19, the property of her master, F. J. Bennett. ;Shc pleaded guilty, but her counsel afterwards withdrew that plea. She was remanded.
