Warden's Offi<ie,.Thames, 6th September, 1875. A PPLTCATION has been made by E. T. Xjl Wiidman for Tairua Qold Mining Company, Limited, for permission to construct a Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at a point indicated by a peg marked T, about two hundred yards south-west of Tairua Company's battery, and terminating at the Tairua Company's No. 1 race. The length of Race ia two hundred yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is east snd west. The osean depth and breadth of such Race is tkree feet by two feet, and it is capable of carrying Two sluice heads of water, ar.d the number of sluice heads of water of forty' inches each which it is intended to appropriate is Two, and the land required for such Race is thirty-three »feet on each tide of the centre thereof.
