MINING COMPANY MEETINGS.
Golden Calf. At a meeting of directors held last evening Mr Thorn's resignation as mine manager was accepted, and Mr Joseph Pearson, formerly of the Central Italy, elected in his room, who takes charge of the Company's property this morning., Ajax (Tairua). Extraordinary meeting held yesterday. W. Rovre in the chair. Rules passed, the following gentlemen were elected directors for the ensuing year :—Messrs R. Kennan, T. R. Perry, J. Macky, H. Jf. Adams and W. Rowe; Messrs Gellion and MifcGbeU appointed auditqrs. ' . Bbitanstia (Taisua.) An extraordinary meeting held yesterday. Mr Ehrenfried in the chair. Rules were passed aud the following gentlemen
elected directors —Messrs. J. W. Walker, L. Ehrenfried, W. B. Jackson, H. S. Ruddock, and R. T. Douglas. Mr Wardell was confirmed in his appointment as manager, and Messrs. Lea and Aicken appointed auditors.
Taieua G.M. Company. At a meeting of directors held yesterday, tenders were receiyed for the construction of tramway from mine to battery, but the consideration thereof postponed till Monday next. The mine manager reported that the battery would be ready for crushing purposes next Wednesday.- • .
