The proposed height of the said Dam is eighteen feet. Babnes for a LICENSE to construct a Water Bace for goldmining purposes, commencing at a. point indicated by a peg .marked E E on a creek'about a hundred yards north of Measle3town Creek, falling.into.head of fourth branch of Tairua .Biver, taking in unnoccupied streams along course of Bace, and terminating at a point on, Pearl Claim indicated by peg marked E E. The "length of sucii Bace is threo miles or thereabouts, and. its intended course is. east arid west. The mean depth and breadth of such Bace is. one foot six inches by two feet, and it is capable of carrying five sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of water of forty inches each which it is intended to appropriate is five, and the land required for euch Bace is fifteen feet on each side thereof. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 21st day of September, 1875, a License may be granted to the paid Wiliiam G. Baeites for the above-described Water Bace, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing . and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date.
