August, 1875. APPLICATION has been made by John Aethttb, for the Ajax Goldmining Company,' Limited, for LICENSE to Construct a Dam, and to occupy as a Site for such Dam thirty feet by two hundred feet of-land situated at Pakirarahi, on the Britannia Creek, one hundred yards below jvmction of Ajax and Britannia Creeks, having at each angle thereof a peg marked EA. The proposed height of the said Dam is eighteen feet. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the . 14th. day of September, 1875, a License may be granted to the said Ajax Goldmmmg Company, Limited, for the above described Dam Site, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. Macdonaid for the Gem Goldmining Company, Limited, for a LICENSE to Obstruct a Dam, and to occupy as a Site for such Dam three hundred feet.by three hundred feet of land situated, at Pakirarahi, on the licensed folding of Messrs Neves, Graham, and Macdonald, known, as the Tairua Licensed Holdirg. The, proposed, height of the said' Dam is 25 to 30 feet. Warden's Office, Thames, August 9,1875. A PPLICATION has been made by John J\. Aethue, for Ajax Gold Minng Com- - pany limited, for a LICENSE to construct a Water Race for gold mining purpojes, commencing at a point indicated.by a peg marked EX, on a creek known ris Measlestewn Creek, being a branch of fourth branch of Tairua Creek; also taking in tributaries along course of such race unoccupied, and terainatirg at a point on Rule Britannia Creek, about two';hundred yardß above the tunnel of Bule Britannia Claim. The length of such race is two and a half miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is cast and west. The mean depth and breadth of such race is two feet by three feet. * and it is capable of carrying five sluice heads of water of forty inches, and the number of sluice heads intended to carry through such race is five; and the amount cf ground required on either side for protection is ten feet. Baenes for a LICENSE to construct a Water Eace for goldmining purposes, commencing at a point indicated by a peg marked "E E on n crpek about a hundred yards north of Meaßlestown Creek, falling into head of fourth branch of Tairua Eiver, taking in unnoccupied streams.along course of Eace, and terminating at a point on Pearl Claim indicated by peg marked E E. The length of suck Eace is three miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is east and west. The mean depth and breadth of such Eace is one foot six inches by two feet, and it is capable of carrying five sluice heads of w.\ter, and tlie number of sluice heads of water of forty inches each which it'is intended to appropriate is five, and the land required for such Eace is fifteen feet on each side thereof. • • .
