Sir George Grey having been commuui. cated with by His Worship the Mayor regarding the prevailing in consequence of ithe " limited area, His Honor has telegraphed to Warden Fraser"to-day to take steps to meet the- public wishes it-found practicable and expedient. Warden Fraser has in consequence com, municated with Commissioner;, Toleand measures will at once ,be taken, to" ascertain the extent of land- available, the lowest ■ price .at ■ which • tHe surveys caa be done, and other matteri. If found possible the survey fees will Be reduced and the area allowed will be enlarged." We ar,e unable, pwing to a pressure upon our space, to go into the, - matter more fully.
