THEATRE ROYAL.
The above theatre will be opened this evening : the IDe liias Dramatic Company with the drama of .the, f'-WaHL^-cring Heir." The lessee has secured new talent in the person.of Miss.May Howard, who paid a very short visit to the Thames some considerable time since. At that time the public of the Thames had n.6fc an opportunity of forming any just estimate of this artiste's merits, as she was not supported by a coinpariyj|: but acting: of Miss' May Howard has been spoken of elsewhere in highly eulogistic terms; and we:have no doubt that her reception on this, the first night of a short season, will be a hearty one, more especially as-it is. some little time sincej we had any professional' show to patronise. There are many old Thames favorites-included in tlie* namea <which comprise a very fair stock company, and Miss Clara Stephen'son", who " starred" the Colony with marked, success at one time, will also render valuable assistance during the season, which is likely to be a most successful one*
