Tairua.
Matters at Tsirua remain very quiet. Mr Jackson has started a store on tho Prospectors' Claim, and he has a large number of horses packing on the road, so that provisions arc bound to be reasonable in price, even during the winter months. Mr Hale's establishment, bakery and restaurant, is nearly finished; and, in addition to supplying fresh bread at a cheap fate, I heaivthat he intends to take boarders at a pound a week each—a new . feature on a new goldfield.
