Stamp Dutiei, Wellington, April 26,1875., rnHE following Notice under the' Stamp A Duties Act, which appeared in the New Zealand Gazette of 13th May, 1869, ii re* | published for general information :— Chabms 0. Bowjx. N O T~Jc E. The attention of Executors, Administrat tors. Legatees, and Successors, if called to the precisions of tho Stamp- Duties Act, 1866, which requirs :— 1. That Executors and Administrators shall, in tho case of all legacies, annuities, or residues paid \ ;by them, furnish to the Stamp Office full accounts of such payments, and shall pay the duty assessed thereon within sixty days thereafter; and in the case of legacies, annuities, or residue* retained in trust, shall, before any such retainer, furnish to the Commissioners full particulars thereof, and sh»ll pay tho duty assessed thereon within fourteen dajs of such assessment ; and shall furnish accounts' of all successions under any will or estate executed or administered by them, so soon as the successor shall become beneficially entitled thereto. 2. That Legatees receiving legacies shall giro receipts in the prescribed form, which receipts muit bear date on the d»y of signing, and must be brought to the Stamp Office to be stamped within sixty days thereafter, otherwise such receipts become invalid. 3. Thi»t every Successor to real or personal estate, as soon as he) or any other person in his behalf, shall become entitled thereto in possession, or to the receipt of the income and profit thereof, shall furnish to the Commissioner! full and true accounts of the property succeeded to, with the name oi and their relationship to the predecessor.
