NATIONALISING GAS INDUSTRY
Non-Party Recommendation (7.30 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 4. The Non-Party Committee of Inquiry appointed by the Coalition Government in June. 1944. submitted a report recommending the nationalisation of the gas industry, which the Labour Government has already announced has been decided on. The report of the committee recommends that the industry should be controlled in regions by boards appointed by the Minister of Fuel.
