There are still 14 delegates requiring accommodation for the coming horticultural conferences,” said the chairman (Mr F. S. Chittock) addressing a meeting of the Horticultural Week Arrangements Commitee last night. Mr Chittock said that the programme for the various horticultural conferences to be held in Timaru in the first week of February was a heavy ne Seven conferences would take place in the week. “The way things are. we will not be able to accommodate more than 150 delegates.” said Mr G. Knowles. A member of the committee -uggested that the Society should advertise for private board for the visitors. The seven conferences are:—The Roval New Zealand Institute of Horticulture. the New Zealand Horticultural Trades’ Association, Seedmen’s Association, Parks Superintendents’. Association, the Florists’ Telegraphic Exchange. Florists’ Society, and the New Zealand Section of the Florist Trade Delivery.
