Heavy Fall Of Snow Steady rain set in on Tuesday afternoon and there were thunderstorms during the night, also a fall of snow, the ground being covered to a depth of 10 inches in places. Snow was still falling at 10 a.m. yesterday. Accident Patrick Connolly, a single man, a tunneller employed at Tekapo, suffered a crushed foot when a heavy stone fell on it while he was working in the tunnel yesterday. He was taken to the Timaru Public Hospital in th? ambulance.
