ANOTHER NOMINEE
Rhodes Scholarship A former student ot Canterbury Agricultural College, Lieutenant j. A. Pollok, has been nominated by th? college Professorial Board for a Rhodes Scholarship. He was educated at Southland Boys’ High School and Otago University and graduated B.Agr.Sc. from Lincoln College in 1940. During the war. lie served as a radar operator in H.M.N.Z.S. Achillas, and after further training was appointed chief radar operator in H.M.S. Rami lies. He was then on board the aircraft carrier Indefatigable in th? Far East. He has a good cricket record, and in addition, has been prominent in badminton, football, and tennis.
