The purpose of the fund is to assist and educate the sons of fallen and distressed servicemen. The Waimate County’s quota is £446, and I earnestly request all residents to contribute to such a worthy object. Contribution lists are open at the County Council Office, Queen Street, and also at the office of the “Waimate Advertiser,” and at Mr R. L. Pugh’s Store, St. Andrews.
